Da Nang holds the top position in ICT Index rankings for 14 consecutive years

TPO – The Department of Information and Communications Technology Industry (IT&TT, Ministry of Information and Communications) in coordination with the Vietnam Association for Information Technology has just announced the Vietnam ICT Index 2023.

Accordingly, Da Nang ranked first with 0.8485 points. Following were Can Tho and Quang Ninh. The lowest were Phu Yen, Lai Chau and Thai Binh.

This is the 14th year that Da Nang city has maintained its top position in the ICT Index, since 2009.

Da Nang's component indexes include: Technical infrastructure ranked 2nd with 0.7908 points; Human resources infrastructure also ranked 2nd with 0.7892 points. In the IT application index alone, Da Nang ranked first with 0.9655 points, in which internal IT application in state agencies ranked highest with 1 point, online public services ranked 2nd with 0.9474 points.

In recent years, Da Nang has made efforts to apply IT and digital transformation in all areas. The city has a shared data warehouse, integrating data sources on citizens, population, household registration, businesses, construction permits, tourism, land, environment, etc.

The ICT Index 2023 report is conducted annually to provide information on the current status of ICT development and application in Vietnam. At the same time, it provides assessments and rankings on the level of readiness for ICT development and application based on collected data.
