On July 30, at the 19th session of the 10th term People's Council of Da Nang City, delegates voted to pass a resolution exempting tuition fees for preschool children, primary school students, and students at vocational training institutions in the 2024-2025 school year in the area.
Accordingly, the subjects of application are preschool children, students of public and non-public general schools, including students at continuing education centers following the general education program. Private primary school students are eligible for tuition reduction policies according to regulations.
Students with permanent residence in Da Nang City are studying high school cultural knowledge and general education programs in public and private vocational education institutions in Da Nang City.
Public preschool children in Da Nang City are exempted from tuition fees in the 2024-2025 school year.
Not applicable to preschool children, primary school students and vocational education students of foreign-invested educational institutions.
Specifically, Da Nang City supports 100% of tuition fees for public preschool and general education for 9 months of the 2024-2025 school year.
Support 100% of tuition fees for students studying high school cultural knowledge and general education programs in public and private vocational education institutions for up to 9 months of the 2024 - 2025 school year.
Subjects who are entitled to tuition fee reduction according to the policies of the Central Government and Da Nang City will be compensated with 100% of the tuition fees for public preschool and general education in the 2024-2025 school year.
With the approval of this resolution, Da Nang City plans to spend more than 108 billion VND in support. This is the fourth consecutive year that Da Nang City has applied the tuition exemption policy for preschool children and students of all levels.
