On March 18, Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union awarded the Brave Youth badge to two middle school students who bravely saved a drowning person at Kpa Klong Secondary School.
Accordingly, Mr. Phan Ho Giang - Standing Deputy Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union, authorized by the Central Youth Union - awarded the Brave Youth badge to Kpuih San (class 7C) and Kpuih Dau (class 6A), both studying at Kpa Klong Secondary School, Ia Pia commune, Chu Prong district.
Previously, on February 16, while playing near the reservoir at Chu Prong coffee farm, Ro Lan Nghi (6 years old), residing in Ia Pia commune, unfortunately drowned.
Seeing the little boy drowning, two boys, San and Dau, who were herding cows nearby, quickly jumped into the water to save Nghi. Even though they knew how to swim, they both jumped into the water to save the boy while shouting for help.
Thanks to the quick thinking of the two friends, Nghi was brought to shore, narrowly escaping danger. In addition to receiving the Brave Youth badge from the Central Youth Union, on this occasion, the Gia Lai Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee awarded a certificate of merit for being a good person - typical good deed in February 2024 to San and Dau.
