Emulation Cluster of the Labor Federation of the North Central provinces deploys tasks for 2025

This morning, December 16, in Dong Ha City, the Emulation Cluster of the Labor Federation of the North Central provinces held a conference to summarize the emulation movement in 2024 and deploy tasks in 2025. Head of the Emulation Cluster of the North Central Provinces' Confederation of Labor in 2024, Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Confederation of Labor Nguyen The Lap said: During the year, the Confederation of Labor of the provinces in the emulation cluster closely followed the theme: "Focus on bringing the resolutions of the trade union congresses at all levels into life; compete to achieve achievements to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union" to direct and well implement the annual work program, achieving and exceeding many targets assigned by the General Confederation of Labor.

100% of administrative and public service trade unions and state-owned enterprises in the provinces participate in promulgating and implementing democratic regulations, organizing conferences of civil servants, public employees and workers at the unit. Provincial labor federations focus on guiding the negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements (CLAs) in newly established enterprises and re-signing expired CLAs.

The coordination of inspection and supervision of labor law, trade unions, social insurance, and occupational safety and health at enterprises continues to receive attention. Through the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Chia Chia", "Worker's Month", the peak emulation period to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Provincial Labor Federations have supported more than 479,289 union members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total amount of more than 431 billion VND; supported the construction of 404 Union Shelter houses for union members with a total amount of 15.2 billion VND. Built 7 official residences and boarding houses for teachers in difficult areas with a total amount of nearly 4.5 billion VND...

The movements of “Good workers, creative workers”, “Good consultants, good service”, “Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste”, the campaign to study and follow Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style... continue to be widely deployed. Union members and workers in 6 provinces have had 40,289 initiatives and experiences recognized by all levels and sectors, with a value of hundreds of billions of VND; there are 2,008 projects and products worth 327.2 billion VND; 4 individuals have been awarded 38 certificates of creative labor by the General Confederation of Labor...

Newly developed 79,477 union members, including 8,628 union members in the informal sector; newly established 365 grassroots unions, including newly established 306 grassroots trade unions and 59 grassroots trade unions.

Introduced 9,128 outstanding union members to the party, and the party organization considered admitting 4,132 people. The women's activities of the trade unions have created a strong spread, creating an exciting and joyful atmosphere, attracting a large number of female employees to participate.

Regarding the 2025 task, the Emulation Cluster of the Labor Federation of the North Central provinces implements the theme: "Focus on developing union members, participating in building a clean and strong Party".

In particular, focusing on the work of introducing outstanding union members for the Party to train and consider for admission; performing well the task of representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees, especially the issue of unpaid wages and social insurance debts of union members and employees...

Implement solutions to “Improve the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining, period 2024 - 2028” according to the program of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Labor. Proactively implement solutions to create favorable conditions for grassroots trade unions to conduct negotiations and collective bargaining, focusing on wages, bonuses, working hours and rest, and occupational safety and hygiene.

Increase resources to implement major activities during the year: Workers' Month 2025, dialogue program between Party and State leaders and union members and workers; take care of union members and workers on the occasion of Lunar New Year...

In their discussions at the conference, delegates focused on assessing the shortcomings and limitations in trade union work; introducing models and good practices in implementing emulation movements, taking care of the material and spiritual life of local workers. At the same time, they recommended and proposed solutions to superiors to direct emulation movements; and assigned appropriate targets for developing new union members.

Speaking at the conference, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung emphasized: In addition to the key tasks set for 2025, in the coming time, the provincial Confederations of Labor will focus on implementing Resolution 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo on "Innovation of organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Unions in the new situation".

Continue to innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently according to Resolution 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee. Direct the Trade Union to take care of the lives of workers, first of all, the salary and bonus for the Lunar New Year in 2025.

It is necessary to promote the intelligence of trade unions at all levels to contribute to documents of party congresses at all levels; launch and organize well movements to celebrate party congresses at all levels; focus on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; and pay attention to developing party members who are union members in enterprises.

In 2025, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Federation of Labor will become the Emulation Cluster of the Federation of Labor of the North Central provinces.
