Green, environmentally friendly products are increasingly appearing in the Hue market. |
Similarly, Ms. Hoang Kim Hoang, my university friend who is currently working at Phong Dien Industrial Park, said that on busy days she often orders food online. She often consults and chooses which stores use environmentally friendly materials that can be reused, such as: cups, boxes, straws made of paper or bamboo, bagasse...
“Greening lifestyles and promoting sustainable consumption means combining traditional beautiful lifestyles with modern, civilized means to create a good life,” said Ms. Kim Hoang.
At the workshop connecting provincial enterprises with technology transfer and innovation activities organized by the Department of Science and Technology in mid-December 2023, Chairman of the Provincial Business Association - Mr. Duong Tuan Anh shared that the Vietnamese consumer goods market is gradually developing in depth. Consumers not only value very basic factors such as perceived quality, durability, price, but also pay much attention to factors such as safety of use, fresh products, information on nutritional ingredients, origin - origin, or product uses, features, or products with quality certification... Therefore, enterprises need to adapt, transfer and innovate technology to ensure credibility in production and business, thereby maintaining the enterprise's brand, building a healthy and civilized business - consumer environment.
Currently, modern supermarket and retail systems contribute significantly to bringing green and clean products closer to consumers because most of them are controlled in terms of quality, design and price with professional distribution and logistics systems. Many supermarkets and convenience stores have applied many programs to promote green consumption trends, encouraging people to use environmentally friendly packaging. However, the widespread dissemination of these models is not easy at present. This requires a long-term roadmap with many specific solutions, suitable for residential areas, because the cost of producing green goods and products is still high.
An economic expert said that many trends of using biodegradable nylon, banana leaves, sugarcane bagasse, etc. for packaging quickly "ran out of steam" because of the lack of convenience, durability, and cheapness compared to common nylon packaging. Along with that, in the context of rapidly developing e-commerce, the habit of shopping online also leads to rapid growth and many nylon bags, plastic boxes, etc. because when transporting food, consumer goods, environmentally friendly packaging is difficult to meet the criteria of "durable, cheap, convenient".
In order for green products to become popular, it is necessary to have appropriate mechanisms, policies, and support programs from authorities and localities to encourage green and sustainable production and consumption models, and enterprises to produce and supply environmentally friendly products. At the same time, it is necessary to promote propaganda activities so that consumers are increasingly interested, learn, and gradually change their tastes and habits of sustainable and environmentally friendly consumption.
