On November 7, nearly 400 officers, experts, employees, and workers of Vietnam Waste Treatment Company Limited (VWS) working at Da Phuoc Waste Treatment Complex (Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City) received periodic health check-ups conducted by doctors and nurses of the Rehabilitation and Occupational Disease Treatment Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City).

Arriving very early to get a medical examination before starting his shift, Mr. Nguyen Van Dong (54 years old, a tarpaulin spreading worker) has worked at VWS Company for more than 16 years and said that since the company was established, he has applied for a job and has been working there until now. Due to his old age, he also has diseases such as high blood pressure, bone and joint diseases, etc.; the doctor carefully examined him, gave him advice and guided him on how to eat and exercise to improve his health, so he felt more secure.

"VWS Company is very concerned about the health of its workers. Every year, it organizes health check-ups for workers. If workers discover that they have an illness that requires treatment, the company will also cover the cost. That is very valuable and this is the reason why many workers stay with the company for a long time," said Mr. Dong.

On November 7, VWS organized a health check-up for nearly 400 officers, experts, employees and workers of the company.

While waiting for the ultrasound, Ms. Le Thi Ha (48 years old) said that every year, VWS Company invites good doctors to come to the site to examine the health of workers. Health is a valuable asset of workers, thanks to regular and timely care, workers are all healthy enough to meet the requirements of the job. "Previously, I worked in several places but VWS Company is one of the units that cares about and takes care of workers' health the best that I know," Ms. Ha confided.

Periodic health care for workers and laborers is always a top priority of VWS Company. During the health check-up, workers are tested for blood, blood pressure, dental, ear, nose and throat examination, eye examination, general internal medicine, weighing, ultrasound, dermatology, X-ray... After receiving the health results, workers with abnormal diseases will continue to be examined by specialized departments for early detection and timely treatment support.

Mr. Cuong added that on the morning of November 7, the Board of Directors of VWS Company held an online meeting with the leaders of California Waste Solutions (CWS) Company in the US. At the meeting, Mr. Cuong reported to Mr. David Duong, Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of CWS Company and VWS Company about the health check-up program for employees at VWS.

The program was highly appreciated by the Board of Directors, and at the same time required to do the best to take care of workers and laborers. From afar, Mr. David Duong affirmed that the success of VWS Company has a great contribution from all officers and employees. They are the "valuable capital" of the company. Therefore, taking care of the health and life of workers and their children is the duty and responsibility of VWS.

Every year, VWS Company spends billions of VND to take care of the lives and health of workers.
