Speaking at the closing session, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly is the session with the largest volume of legislative content at a session since the beginning of the term; the draft laws and resolutions considered and approved by the National Assembly at this session are related to many sectors and fields, and have received great attention and follow-up from voters and people nationwide.

In particular, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that personnel work has been carried out strictly in accordance with Party regulations and State laws; the National Assembly has elected the President, National Assembly Chairman, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, members of the National Assembly Standing Committee; approved the appointment of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Public Security; approved members of the National Defense and Security Council, and at the same time carried out other personnel work within its authority and has achieved high consensus and unanimity among National Assembly deputies.

At the session, National Assembly deputies upheld their sense of responsibility, discussed enthusiastically, democratically, frankly, and focusedly; many opinions were expressed intellectually, deeply, and constructively; objectively and comprehensively reflecting the reality of social life at the parliament. Information and propaganda work was carried out promptly, fully, before, during, and after each session; continuing to affirm the efforts and determination of the National Assembly in performing its tasks with many innovations and creativity, meeting the increasingly high requirements of the country's reality.

At this Session, 936 National Assembly deputies registered to speak and 750 deputies spoke; 2,119 deputies spoke at the Group discussion session. Representatives of the Standing Committee of the People's Councils of 63 provinces and cities attended a number of plenary sessions of the National Assembly.

The National Assembly questioned 3 Ministers and the State Auditor General on 4 areas: Natural Resources and Environment - Industry and Trade - Culture, Sports, Tourism and State Audit; Deputy Prime Ministers and members of the Government also participated in answering questions. The National Assembly gave opinions on the content to issue a Resolution on questioning and answering questions at the 7th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

With a high approval rate, the National Assembly voted to pass 11 laws including: Law on Archives (amended); Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); Law on Social Insurance (amended); Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization; Law on Roads; Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; Law on Capital City (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Property Auction; Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Guards; Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools (amended); Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Land, the Law on Housing, the Law on Real Estate Business, and the Law on Credit Institutions.

The National Assembly considered and approved 21 resolutions, including 3 legal resolutions: Resolution on piloting the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province; Resolution on organizing urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city; Resolution on the 2025 Law and Ordinance Development Program, adjusting the 2024 Law and Ordinance Development Program. The National Assembly considered and approved the Resolution on the National Assembly's Supervision Program for 2025 and the General Resolution of the Session.

The National Assembly gave its first opinions on 11 draft laws; reviewed the supplementary assessment report on the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2023 and the implementation situation in the first months of 2024; approved the 2022 state budget settlement and gave opinions on a number of other important contents.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man emphasized that to ensure the requirement that "laws are implemented fairly, strictly, consistently, promptly, effectively and efficiently": "The National Assembly requests the Government, agencies of the National Assembly, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the State Audit, relevant agencies and organizations to focus on directing, thoroughly grasping and promptly implementing effectively the laws and resolutions just passed by the 7th Session to meet the requirements and tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and foreign affairs of the country; promptly and effectively implementing social security policies, taking care of the material and spiritual lives of policy families, workers, people in difficult circumstances and all people; meeting the expectations of voters and people nationwide, our compatriots abroad."

The National Assembly Chairman also requested relevant agencies and National Assembly deputies to continue researching, proactively and urgently preparing the contents to be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration and approval at the 8th Session.

Affirming that the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly was a great success, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man acknowledged and highly appreciated the determination, efforts, close, timely and effective coordination between the agencies of the National Assembly, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy and relevant agencies and organizations in carefully preparing and quality each content of the Session; thanks to that, although there were adjustments to the program and content of the Session, including urgent, difficult and complicated issues, it still ensured smoothness, caution, flexibility and effectiveness in management and received high consensus and unanimity from National Assembly deputies.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly was a great success.

The National Assembly Chairman said: "The National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee respectfully thank the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and directly General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for their close and timely leadership and direction during the preparation and conduct of the Session; experts, scientists, managers, the business community and the people have contributed many dedicated, responsible and valuable opinions, both theoretical and practical, to the activities of the National Assembly."

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his hope that with new confidence, new spirit, new motivation, under the correct, close and timely leadership and direction of the Party; the proactive, flexible, close and effective supervision of the National Assembly; the drastic, effective and efficient management, direction and administration of the Government; the close coordination of sectors, levels and localities; the synchronous participation of the entire political system and the efforts and striving of the entire Party, people, army and business community, our compatriots abroad, our country will definitely overcome difficulties and challenges, achieve the highest socio-economic development goals in 2024, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.
