The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Document No. 3409/UBND-KGVX dated August 20, 2024 on the management, preservation and promotion of the value of ranked relics in the province.

To ensure compliance with the provisions of the law on cultural heritage, at the same time, strengthen the implementation of state management of donations, sponsorships, preservation and promotion of the value of ranked relics in the province. The Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of districts, cities, towns, Hung Temple Historical Relic Site and agencies and units to strictly implement the Party's policies and provisions of the law on cultural heritage.
For relics that are memorial sites, memorial houses, and typical works that have been ranked as special national relics, they must be kept intact, not arbitrarily changed, newly built, added to, or arranged into offices. The preservation, repair, and restoration of relics must be based on historical and scientific documents and must strictly comply with current regulations.
At the same time, strengthen the review and consolidation of the Monument Management Boards, develop regulations, assign specific tasks and responsibilities to each member, avoid the situation of "outsourcing" the responsibility of protecting monuments to local people or those assigned to look after the monuments. Agencies and organizations should study and include the content of monument management, protection of relics, antiquities, and national treasures at the monuments in the Cultural Residential Area Convention as one of the criteria for evaluating and recognizing cultural titles.
At the same time, local authorities coordinate with competent agencies to strengthen inspection and supervision, ensure that donations and sponsorships for relics and festival activities are used strictly, publicly, transparently, effectively, for the right purposes, in accordance with regulations, promptly detect, rectify and strictly handle organizations and individuals who violate according to their authority and regulations of the law, and prevent waste, negativity, corruption, and taking advantage of belief and religious activities for personal gain and benefit.
