On the afternoon of November 28, the People's Committee of Nga Son district held a conference to announce the adjustment of the construction planning of Nga Son district to 2045 and the general urban planning of Hoi Dao to 2045.

At the conference, representatives of Nga Son district leaders announced the decisions of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee approving the Nga Son District Construction Planning and Hoi Dao Urban Master Plan.

Accordingly, Decision No. 4430/QD-UBND dated November 7, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee approved the project to adjust the construction planning of Nga Son district until 2045 with a natural area of ​​about 157.82 ^km2 .

The spatial development model of Nga Son district identifies 3 key development areas - 2 economic corridors.

In which, the core urban development area (associated with Nga Son town) is the district town, the administrative, political, economic - social and cultural center of the district.

The key area for industrial development and marine economic sectors in the Southeast (associated with Hoi Dao Urban Area) is the eastern gateway area for the development of commercial services and marine economic sectors associated with Nga Tan Industrial Park, Long Son Industrial Cluster and Lach Sung Port, playing a role in promoting the socio-economic development of the eastern region of the district.

The key area for tourism development in the North (associated with Dien Ho Urban Area) is the northern gateway area developing spiritual and cultural tourism services, eco-tourism, resorts, entertainment (golf courses); playing a role in promoting the socio-economic development of the northern region of the district.

The East-West economic corridor is National Highway 217 and 217B extension, connecting economic space with the western districts of the province, connecting economic space with the northern provinces and the whole country through two expressway intersections Ha Long and Ha Linh.

The North-South economic corridor is National Highway 10 and coastal roads, connecting economic space with Thanh Hoa City and southern districts, connecting economic space with coastal districts and northern provinces (Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh) and the North Central region in terms of marine economy and tourism.

Decision No. 4596/QD-UBND dated November 20, 2024 of the Provincial People's Committee approved the Hoi Dao Urban Master Plan until 2045 with a total planning land area of ​​about 1,379.45 hectares in the communes of Nga Thanh, Nga Tien, and Nga Lien. This is a gateway urban area, a socio-economic center of the eastern region of Nga Son district and its vicinity with the function of commercial services, industrial support services, experience services and an important traffic hub of the district.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Construction Phan Le Quang and Chairman of the Nga Son District People's Committee Thinh Van Huyen emphasized: The Nga Son District Construction Planning and the Hoi Dao Urban Master Plan approved and officially announced by the Provincial People's Committee demonstrate innovative thinking, new vision, in line with the planning development orientation of Thanh Hoa province, the Resolution of the Nga Son District Party Congress.

This is an important tool for the district to plan directions, operate and manage all socio-economic development activities, develop territorial space in the district in the coming time, ensure synchronous connectivity, maximize potential and advantages; at the same time overcome previous limitations and difficulties.

This is also the most important legal basis for arranging space, attracting investment, and allocating resources, in order to exploit and maximize potentials and strengths to realize the goal of making Nga Son one of the districts with rapid and sustainable development in the coming time.
