The Youth Union of Binh Duong Provincial Police coordinated with Cho Ray Hospital, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong Provincial Red Cross Society and sister branches to organize the first voluntary blood donation campaign in 2024.
With the motto "Every drop of blood given, a life remains", the 2024 voluntary blood donation festival has the participation of nearly 300 volunteers who are leaders of the Public Security of units and localities and a large number of officers, employees of the Provincial Public Security and members of the union branches in Thu Dau Mot city.
Senior Lieutenant Ho Thanh Thao, Deputy Head of the Youth Department of Binh Duong Provincial Police, said that voluntary blood donation is an activity with profound humanitarian meaning, a beautiful feature in the life of each individual, family and the whole society. Blood is a special and precious medicine, which can only be donated from kind hearts, with the great affection and responsibility of the donor to the community. The safest source of blood for patients is blood from healthy people who donate blood voluntarily and without profit.
Blood donation activities have created a movement that attracts a large number of cadres, soldiers, and youth union members inside and outside the force; this is a good environment for this group to contribute, experience, and practice the necessary knowledge and skills in life. After a blood donation session, the Cho Ray Hospital Blood Transfusion Center received 295 units of donated blood.
The humanitarian blood donation program is an annual activity full of humane meaning. It affirms the pioneering role of the young generation, and at the same time, it is also the sharing and kindness of officers and soldiers of Binh Duong Provincial Police towards the community.
According to the plan, in 2024, the Provincial Police Youth Union will mobilize voluntary blood donation and organize 02 blood donation campaigns, striving to mobilize 600 units of blood according to the target assigned by the province./.
