TPO - On the morning of January 16, many staff, doctors, and patients at Cho Ray Hospital experienced the 2025 Spring Flower Street. This is a meaningful activity for patients and their relatives when they have to celebrate Tet in the hospital.
In the joyful atmosphere of preparing for the traditional New Year, all officers and employees of Cho Ray Hospital are actively completing the spring flower street as a meaningful gift, bringing joy and warmth to patients and their relatives during the Tet holiday.
Although operating only within the hospital premises, all departments take care to decorate their booths to be eye-catching, hoping to dispel some of the pressure as well as give more confidence to patients and their families in fighting the disease.
Ms. Tam is calling her mother who is in the treatment room, sharing: "My mother is on dialysis in the department. Her health is stable but she can't walk yet. I saw this activity so I called her on FaceTime to see it. During the days before Tet, having this flower street also helps patients and their families feel less sad and less sorry."
"Welcoming Tet in the hospital is something no one wants, but I am very grateful to the doctors and nurses at the hospital for taking the time to make this flower street. I see that my child is very excited even though he is still in pain," Mr. Lam confided while taking his child to see the flower street in a wheelchair.
Somewhere there are still pressures of life, the fight against illness, economic burdens... but everyone still tries to have fun together, creating confidence for themselves when participating in this activity of Cho Ray Hospital.
"In the New Year, I only wish for one thing: that patients here and everywhere get well soon," this female hospital staff member shared.
Associate Professor, Doctor Tran Thi Bich Huong, a retired staff member, still works as a consultant for the hospital to celebrate with the patients. This year, Ms. Bich Xuan (living in Binh Chanh district) celebrates her second Tet in the hospital. Ms. Xuan is excited to see the flower street even though she still has to carry an electric syringe pump for heart failure patients.
This year, 73 departments of Cho Ray Hospital continue to join hands to create a flower street with all kinds of unique and diverse decorations. All aim to recreate a simple, close and loving Tet, helping to dispel some of the homesickness of the patients.
