During the journey "Lanterns light up dreams" in Dak Lak Province, the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers organized many meaningful activities, imbued with a deep humanitarian spirit for children with the theme "Mid-Autumn Festival with friends, happy to go to school" such as: Photo exhibition of the Journey "Lanterns light up dreams" of 63 provinces and cities; Organizing fun, experiential and exchange activities for children; Inauguration and presentation of "Space for reading, interaction and Team activities" , competition to display Mid-Autumn Festival trays, decorate lanterns; lantern procession, lion dance.
At the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers presented 200 gifts to disadvantaged children in Dak Lak Province. Of which, 100 children received gifts worth 1.8 million VND each (including: 1 million VND scholarship, school backpack and Mid-Autumn Festival gifts), 100 children received gifts worth 2.3 million VND each (including 1 bicycle and 1 Mid-Autumn Festival gift). In addition, the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of the Young Pioneers also presented 500 gifts, each worth 550 thousand VND (including school backpacks and Mid-Autumn Festival gifts) to 500 children participating in the program; the Provincial Youth Union and units in Dak Lak Province presented 1,000 gifts to children participating in the program.
During the Mid-Autumn Festival 2024, the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers presented many projects, scholarships, and gifts to children in localities worth nearly 13 billion VND. Of which, nearly 7 billion VND was given to children in 15 northern provinces and cities affected by storm No. 3 (super typhoon Yagi).
Attending and speaking at the Mid-Autumn Festival held in Dak Lak and other locations across the country, Comrade Nguyen Hoa Binh - Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government congratulated children across the country on a warm, joyful and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival. The Deputy Prime Minister shared with the less fortunate children, those who are facing many difficulties and deprivation in life, to try to overcome difficulties in studying and training to become good children and good students, good children of Uncle Ho. At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister sent compliments to the children with high achievements in studying, training and making practical contributions to the community. The Deputy Prime Minister also shared with the children in the flood-hit areas in the North who could not enjoy a complete Mid-Autumn Festival.

This is the 12th year of the Mid-Autumn Festival journey for children, the 4th year of the program "Lanterns light up dreams" organized by the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers with the desire to bring children in difficult circumstances a happy, warm and meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival. The program is to share and bring love to children; to encourage, motivate, and give them more strength to stay in school, stay in class, prevent school dropouts; create conditions to support, help, and nurture their dreams to soon become reality.
