On September 27, Bac Ninh Provincial Police issued a decision to prosecute Mr. Ngo Xuan Loi, former Director of Phu Lam Construction, Production and Trading Company Limited (Phu Lam Company) in Phu Lam Commune, Tien Du District, Bac Ninh Province for the crime of "Causing environmental pollution".

Previously, on January 12, the Working Group of the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control - Ministry of Public Security (C05) discovered that Phu Lam Company was dumping waste at Phu Lam Industrial Park with many signs of violating environmental protection laws. Specifically, this Company had buried, filled, and dumped 841,900 kg of ordinary solid waste in violation of the law.

On March 27, the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention - Ministry of Public Security issued a decision to prosecute the criminal case of "Causing environmental pollution" occurring at this company.

On March 28, the Supreme People's Procuracy decided to transfer the criminal case to the Bac Ninh Provincial Police for further investigation under its authority.

Based on the results of the investigation, the authorities have sufficient grounds to determine that Mr. Ngo Xuan Loi, former Director of Phu Lam Company, committed the act of burying, filling, and dumping ordinary solid waste in violation of regulations, so they decided to prosecute the accused.

Regarding the issue of environmental pollution treatment in the craft villages of Phong Khe, Phu Lam, and Van Mon, speaking at the regular meeting of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee on August 20, Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan said that strong measures will be applied to establishments violating the environment, without any concessions or agreements.
