Son Tra Peninsula is located in Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District. This place has a wild landscape and rich nature. Three sides of the peninsula are bordered by the sea, so there are many tourist activities associated with nature.

Son Tra has its own charm at each time of the year. From March to September, the weather is dry and sunny, suitable for tourists to participate in activities such as swimming, trekking, sunset hunting...

Trekking and swimming at Mui Nghe

Located on the east side of Son Tra Peninsula, Mui Nghe still retains its pristine natural beauty, untouched by human influence. To reach the natural lake in Mui Nghe, visitors must trek through the primeval forest for about 30 minutes.

The trail through the forest is not too steep, surrounded by ancient trees with wide canopies so it is quite cool. During the trekking, visitors have the opportunity to explore the rich flora here, admire rare animals listed in the Red Book such as the brown-shanked douc langur, wild cat, silver cheeked weasel...

At the end of the trail, visitors have to spend another 10-15 minutes crossing the bumpy rocky road to reach the natural lake. This road is short but bumpy, easy to stumble.

When arriving at Mui Nghe, the clear, blue lake appears before the eyes of visitors. Surrounded on all sides by majestic cliffs, the rough surface is eroded by sea water. The highlight is the 2 high rocky outcrops like 2 sea lions facing the sea.

Visitors can enjoy swimming in the cool water, diving to see corals and touching small fish. Sitting on the rocks, enjoying snacks or fishing in the middle of the sea are also worth trying experiences when coming here.

Nguyen Minh Tan, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "The scenery at Mui Nghe is worth the arduous trekking journey. What I feel most wonderful is the peaceful feeling, without noise because there are few tourists. I did not swim, but sitting on the rock and watching the sea from above was also very cool."

View of the sea from Black Rock beach

Black Rock Beach is located near the famous thousand-year-old banyan tree of Son Tra peninsula.

As the name suggests, this place has many dark rocks of various shapes, lying close together and reaching out to the sea. On both sides of the rocky beach are green grass carpets, clear blue sea and mountains covered with trees.

The pure beauty and peaceful atmosphere here are the attractions for tourists. In addition to enjoying the cool breeze blowing from the sea, watching the white foam waves, visitors can also enjoy the sunset. The grassy area next to the rocky beach is also quite flat and clean, suitable for picnics and light meals with friends.

At Da Den beach, there are some other activities such as snorkeling, jet skiing and banana boating. Visitors can rent diving equipment or rent a canoe to go snorkeling for about 250,000 VND/person. The combo of snorkeling, jet skiing and banana boating is about 400,000 VND/person.

Picnic by Da stream

Suoi Da is a prominent picnic spot located on Luong Huu Khanh Street of Son Tra Peninsula. This stream is hidden in a dense forest, surrounded by trees so the air is cool all year round.

The water in Da stream flows underground in the rock bed upstream, suddenly appearing in the middle of the waterfall, a strong current flows down and merges into a clear stream that reaches the bottom. Surrounding the stream are giant rocks, stacked on top of each other.

If you like to immerse yourself in the clean water downstream in the summer, Da stream is the ideal choice. Besides, you can also organize picnics, BBQ on large rocks, breathe fresh air and listen to birds singing.

Coming to Suoi Da not long ago, tourist Ta Phan Khanh Thy (Binh Dinh) said that Suoi Da is not known by many tourists so it is quite quiet. "I put a chair on a rock. The feeling of sitting in the middle of the forest, listening to the sound of the stream flowing makes my mind feel lighter. Next time I come, I will bring some ingredients to cook," the female tourist said.
