At 4:30 p.m., the Southern Hydrometeorological Station reported that thunderstorms were developing and causing rain, thunderstorms, and lightning in Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon, District 7, some central districts, and Thu Duc City (HCMC).
In the next few hours, thunderstorms will continue to develop, causing showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in the above districts, then expanding to other neighboring areas. Rainfall is generally from 2 - 10 mm, in some places over 10 mm.
During thunderstorms, beware of tornadoes, hail and strong winds of about level 5-7, heavy rain causing localized flooding.
The situation causing winter rain in Ho Chi Minh City is due to the continental cold high pressure strengthening to the North of our country. Above, the subtropical high pressure axis through the Central region encroaches on the West, the East wind disturbance is weak in the Southern region.
