At the request of the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), with the consent of author David L Rodgers, PACE Management Institute has coordinated with the Information and Communications Publishing House (IPU) to publish the book " Digital Transformation Summary: Strategy & Roadmap " in a concise, handbook format to encourage the whole population to raise awareness and set the goal of developing digital transformation (DT).

At the seminar held within the framework of the Book Exhibition celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital at the National Library on October 10, 2024, leading experts in the field of digital transformation (DT) discussed with readers about the content of the book.

Mr. Tran Chi Dat, Director of Information and Communications Publishing House, spoke at the Seminar.

Speaking at the Seminar, Mr. Tran Chi Dat, Director of Information and Communications Publishing House, stated: In the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution taking place strongly on a global scale, digital transformation is not only a popular trend, but also an inevitable and objective requirement for each country and in all fields.

Mr. Tran Chi Dat said: although when starting to implement the idea of ​​publishing a streamlined book, the implementation team encountered difficulties related to the Publishing House holding the copyright of the 2 original books in English. However, with the support of the author, the book was released according to the original plan. Reducing the number of pages by about 8 times has helped readers grasp it more easily and apply it immediately.

The book is published by Information and Communications Publishing House.

This book not only contributes to raising awareness of digital transformation but also inspires a wide range of readers, including individuals, leaders of agencies, organizations, businesses, experts working in the digital transformation field, and readers who are interested in digital transformation at both strategic and practical levels,” said Mr. Tran Chi Dat.

The book is structured in 2 parts: Digital Transformation Strategy; Digital Transformation Roadmap. With only nearly 228 pages, small size (12x20 cm), the book has condensed and refined the knowledge of author David L Rodgers - the world's most influential "mind" on Digital Transformation from his 2 famous books: The Digital Transformation Playbook (Digital Transformation Strategy, 404 pages, 15x23 cm) and Digital Transformation Roadmap (Business Digital Transformation Roadmap, 484 pages, 15x23 cm).

The book provides clear strategies and roadmaps suitable for different stages of the digital transformation process; at the same time, it highlights the importance of adapting strategies in different organizational contexts and flexibility in implementation.

At the seminar, translator Pham Anh Tuan also shared the advantages, difficulties and useful content of the book for Vietnam's digital economy in general and businesses in particular.

Overview of the seminar

Professor Ho Tu Bao gave assessments and a roadmap for building infrastructure for digital transformation in each stage. At the same time, he also pointed out some difficulties and challenges facing Vietnam in the digital transformation process.

Dr. Bui Xuan Chung emphasized that businesses should apply technology effectively and train employees to ensure digital skills and digital standards - important factors in developing human resources for Vietnam's digital transformation.

The speakers also discussed and interacted with young people who are students... on many other topics in the book's content such as: Turning data into assets; Mastering breakthrough business models; Developing technology, talent and culture... and future digital transformation roadmaps./.
