Nearly 5,000 athletes participate in Phu Quoc

Phu Quoc - VTV Marathon 2025 is organized by Vietnam Television in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Kien Giang province, the Vietnam Athletics Federation and other units.

The race is not only a large-scale sporting event but also a golden opportunity to promote Phu Quoc tourism to domestic and foreign friends. Under the brilliant sunrise, through the roads along the white sand beaches, primeval forests and cool weather, the race brings participants a complete experience between sports and relaxation.

Traveling more than 1,600km from Hanoi to Phu Quoc, Ms. Pham Thi Nga said: "I am very excited to participate in the race, because I understand that each step I take will not only train my physical strength but also spread the spirit of Phu Quoc preparing to welcome APEC 2027, the national spirit and promote tourism for Phu Quoc."

Also from Hanoi, athlete Tran Huu Hien said: “I participate in the tournament to both exercise and hope that Phu Quoc City will become greener, cleaner, and more beautiful to attract more programs aimed at community health.”

At the end of the races, athlete Hoang Nguyen Thanh won the men's 42km race; athlete Bui Thu Ha led the women's 42km race. At the 21km race, two athletes Nguyen Thi Oanh and Nguyen Trung Cuong won. Athlete Luong Duc Phuoc won the men's 10km race and athlete Nguyen Hieu won the men's 5km race.

The Phu Quoc - VTV Marathon 2025 not only brings a memorable sporting experience but also contributes to raising Vietnam's position on the international sports map. At the same time, the event also spreads the message of protecting the marine environment, Phu Quoc's natural landscape and promoting sustainable tourism development.
