Share the burden with farmers

Participating in loan insurance helps families reduce financial burdens.

The family of Mr. Duong Duc Cuong, a farmer member in Thuy Chau ward (Huong Thuy) received support for loans through the Farmers' Association (HND) channel to develop the economy. In 2022, he and his wife participated in the loan insurance program implemented by PVI Hue Insurance Company, with a cost of 150,000 VND/year. Recently, Mr. Cuong's wife unfortunately died in a traffic accident, his family was covered by insurance for 50 million VND, the corresponding part to pay off the remaining debt to the bank to help the family reduce the financial burden.

In the case of Mr. Le Ngoc Thai, a farmer member in Group 8, Thuy Chau Ward (Huong Thuy), he participated in PVI loan insurance since 2023 through the coordination program of HND channel. At the end of 2024, Mr. Thai suddenly became seriously ill, so the insurance paid 50 million VND, helping his family ease the difficulties in the face of adversity.

According to Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Huong Thuy town Pham Xuan Tam, the propaganda and mobilization of farmers' association members to participate in loan insurance aims to help borrowers feel more secure in the loan process, while protecting their families from unwanted financial burdens.

Within the framework of the cooperation program between the HND Hue City and PVI Hue Insurance Company, PVI loan insurance is a product designed to protect borrowers and their families against unexpected risks such as: illness, accident, death or permanent total disability. The subjects participating in the insurance are members who have loans under credit contracts with credit institutions. In case the borrower encounters risks, the insurance will pay the corresponding amount to pay the remaining debt to the bank or credit institution, in order to help reduce the financial burden on the family of farmer members.

Mr. Nguyen Chi Quang, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Hue City, said: The cooperation between the Farmers' Association and PVI Insurance Company aims to support and improve the welfare of members, share the burden with farmers in difficult circumstances, contribute to ensuring social security and enhance the position and prestige of the Association.

According to Mr. Nguyen Chi Quang, in the coming time, the Association will coordinate with insurance units to promptly research and supplement and provide farmer members with suitable insurance products and services such as health care insurance, health insurance for borrowers, accident and illness insurance, agricultural production insurance, etc. with the most preferential benefits and insurance premiums for farmer members. Thereby, contributing to caring for and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of members and farmers; actively supporting farmers in production, business and life, helping farmers gradually integrate deeply.
