Thuan An Beach Management Board mobilizes vehicles and machinery to level the beach, preparing to serve tourists during the beach tourism season.

These days, at Thuan An beach, excavators, bulldozers, environmental sanitation and rescue teams are working at full capacity to focus on improving the beach infrastructure. Not only the local government and the beach management board, but also restaurant and business owners are mobilizing human resources and investing funds to renovate their shops and restaurants to prepare to welcome visitors to the beach and relax.

Mr. Huynh Van Thong, Vice Chairman of Thuan An Ward People's Committee, Deputy Head of Thuan An Beach Management Board, said that the 2024 storm season severely affected Thuan An beach when the coastal section bordering Phu Thuan Commune (Phu Vang) and Thuan An Ward eroded about 1,000m, 70m to 100m inland, causing insecurity for inter-commune roads and tourism service businesses; damaging sidewalks, causing poplar trees to fall along internal roads in the beach area.

To serve tourists during this year's beach tourism season, since the beginning of February 2025, the People's Committee of Thuan An Ward has deployed projects to level the eroded beach, especially at the main beach and 19/5 beach; repairing the concrete road system along the border between Thuan An and Phu Thuan beaches. At the same time, investing in a road connecting to 19/5 beach with a length of about 400m, with an investment cost of 1.2 billion VND, creating favorable conditions for people and vehicles to travel to the beach. Along with that, the construction of two freshwater bathing areas to serve residents and tourists free of charge is being implemented with a total investment of more than 400 million VND. “Previously, after swimming in the sea, tourists had to pay a fee to take a fresh water bath at restaurants, which was very inconvenient. In the near future, when the two fresh water bath areas are put into operation, locals and tourists can use them freely and without any fee. This is one of the activities aimed at bringing civilization and convenience to tourists when coming to Thuan An beach,” Mr. Thong added.

At Hai Duong beach, the lighting system for the roads leading to the public beach has been completed, contributing to improving the quality of service for tourists. In addition, the People's Committee of Thuan An Ward is proposing to the People's Committee of Thuan Hoa District to request the investor to speed up the construction of the road leading to Hai Duong beach in time to serve tourists during the beach tourism season. Along with that, working with businesses to request them to renovate their shops, post prices and sell at listed prices, provide food that ensures food hygiene and safety...

One of the meaningful activities to be held at Thuan An beach is the program "Thuan An sea calls 2025", scheduled to take place from April 28 to 30. This is one of the activities in the series of events of Hue Festival 2025 and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). The program will have cultural, artistic and community sports activities, such as: boat racing on the sea, kite festival and community kite flying activities, booths displaying traditional products, folk games, etc.
