On the afternoon of July 1, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training held a meeting to approve and unify the admission scores for non-specialized grade 10 of public high schools.
Specifically, the benchmark scores for entering grade 10 at public high schools in Hanoi in 2024 are as follows:
The three schools with the highest benchmark scores are Chu Van An; Yen Hoa and Le Quy Don (Ha Dong) all at 42.5. In second place is Thang Long High School with a benchmark score of 42.25, only 0.25 points less than Chu Van An. In third place with a score of 41.75 are three schools: Kim Lien, Phan Dinh Phung and Nguyen Gia Thieu.

The 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi took place over two days, June 8-9, with more than 105,000 candidates, of which more than 10,000 candidates registered to take an additional specialized subject exam on June 10.
This morning, the Department of Education and Training also announced the benchmark scores for specialized 10th graders: Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Nguyen Hue, Chu Van An, Son Tay.
According to the plan, from July 3-9, educational institutions will receive student appeal applications; submit appeal applications and lists of students to the Department of Education and Training.
No later than July 4, the Department of Education and Training will receive the Admission Results Notification for grade 10 public high schools for the 2024-2025 school year to distribute to students.
Before 11:00 a.m. on July 5, public high schools for both specialized and non-specialized students will announce the list of 10th grade admission results. From 1:30 p.m. on the same day, admission will be confirmed online and in person.
On July 6-7, public schools will continue to confirm admission online and in person. The Department recommends that if any student voluntarily submits an application for admission, schools will facilitate the admission according to the instructions.
From 1:30 p.m. on July 6-7, public and private high schools, vocational and continuing education centers will confirm enrollment online and in person; and receive admission applications in accordance with regulations.
No later than July 10, the Department of Education and Training, specialized schools, and non-specialized schools will approve additional benchmark scores (if any); in the morning, additional scores for specialized schools will be approved, and in the afternoon, additional scores for non-specialized schools will be approved.
From July 12-15, public schools (specialized and non-specialized) will confirm direct admission and receive admission applications based on standard scores (if any). During this time, private schools, autonomous public schools, and vocational education and continuing education centers will confirm direct admission and receive additional admission applications (if any).
No later than July 25, the Department of Education and Training will receive the review results from the Department and return to the student the Admission Result Notification after the review (if any).
From July 25-27, schools will process student applications after re-examination (if any). On July 29, schools will confirm direct admission and receive applications from students who have passed the re-examination (if any).
