City leaders require that the Thong Nhat - Tan Mai resettlement area must be put into use by early 2025.

According to the steering committee, Bien Hoa city is currently implementing five infrastructure construction projects for resettlement areas, including: Thong Nhat and Tan Mai resettlement areas; Tan Hanh; Tan Bien; Quang Vinh; Buu Hoa. Up to this point, only two projects have completed infrastructure, which are Quang Vinh and Tan Bien resettlement areas.

After listening to the report, the steering committee members requested the Bien Hoa City Project Management Board to complete and hand over the Buu Hoa resettlement area in November 2024. At the same time, hand over the Tan Hanh resettlement area in February 2025 to stabilize people's lives. The Thong Nhat and Tan Mai resettlement areas are currently stuck with the wastewater treatment system and have not completed the infrastructure, so they cannot be handed over yet.

Mr. Vu Quoc Thai, Vice Chairman of Bien Hoa City People's Committee, said that specific responsibilities and tasks will be assigned to units. City leaders will also hold weekly progress meetings on completed work as well as resolve problems that arise continuously. Efforts will be made to start and complete 3/12 resettlement projects in 2025.

"Cadres and specialists of units and sectors must be responsible to the City Party Committee and People's Committee. At the same time, they will be considered for replacement of positions that do not complete assigned tasks," said Mr. Thai.

Mr. Ho Van Nam, Secretary of Bien Hoa City Party Committee, requested the leaders of the City People's Committee to assign specific responsibilities to relevant units, sectors and localities in continuing to focus on implementing the remaining area of the two resettlement areas of Thong Nhat and Tan Mai, striving to complete in the second quarter of 2025.

In addition, it is necessary to speed up the clearance of resettlement land for early construction, ensuring housing for people giving up land for projects.

"Resettlement areas in the city do not simply provide housing for displaced households but also contribute to modernizing and civilizing residential areas. Therefore, consultation, design and construction must be thorough and of high quality. Resettlement areas must be synchronously connected with surrounding utilities so that people in the new place will be better than the old place. Avoid the situation where the resettlement area is completed and there are no residents," Mr. Nam requested.

It is known that Bien Hoa city is currently having a series of large projects such as the city center axis road with Thong Nhat bridge; Dong Nai riverside road; Cai riverside road; river embankment; Huong Lo 2; Vam Cai Sut bridge... To implement these projects, the locality has had to reclaim large areas of land and arrange resettlement for people who give up land for the project. In particular, in the coming period, the city is in need of over 1,000 resettlement plots.
