Big fire at FPT Shop in Go Vap district

As of 8:00 p.m. on April 28, Go Vap District Police (HCMC) were still coordinating with functional forces to block off the scene of the fire at FPT Shop in the area.

Earlier, at around 7:30 p.m. the same day, people discovered smoke and fire rising from the FPT Shop on Le Van Tho Street (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) and shouted. At that time, people used water and fire extinguishers to put out the fire but were unsuccessful.

Because there were many flammable items inside, the fire burned fiercely. In just a few minutes, the fire engulfed the entire FPT Shop. People living nearby were afraid that the fire would spread so they moved to a safe area.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team (PCCC-CNCH), Go Vap District Police mobilized many fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to extinguish the fire. Upon arrival, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Force divided into many directions to approach the scene to extinguish the fire.

At nearly 8:00 p.m. the same day, authorities basically controlled the fire.

At the scene, many properties inside the store were completely burned. The extent of damage and casualties in the fire is currently unknown.
