(NLDO) - Authorities are investigating the cause of a large fire at a scrap warehouse, with smoke rising hundreds of meters high.


On the afternoon of December 1, speaking with a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Cong Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An, said that a large fire had just broken out at a scrap warehouse in the area.

Previously, according to initial information, the fire broke out at around 2:30 p.m. on December 1. At this time, people suddenly discovered a fire breaking out at a scrap warehouse in Hamlet 9, Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province.

The fire then quickly engulfed the entire scrap warehouse, smoke from the fire rising hundreds of meters high.

Smoke from the fire enveloped the residential area.

Upon receiving the news, the authorities arrived at the scene to help put out the fire. By 5 p.m., the fire was under control.

According to initial information, the fire did not cause any human casualties but burned down a lot of property.

Currently, the cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
