On September 22-24, Hezbollah launched hundreds of rockets into northern Israel, about 50-60 km from the Lebanese border, marking the largest and deepest attack on Israeli territory that the organization has carried out in nearly a year.

Hezbollah has said it will only cease fire once the conflict in Gaza ends. However, many Israelis fear that the north will remain at risk as long as Iranian-backed militias remain active on the border.
