The Hoang Lien Center for Rescue, Conservation and Development of Creatures has just received a civet handed over by a local resident in Yen Bai. The civet is an extremely rare species that has been listed in the Vietnam Red Book.

Previously, on the evening of October 14, Mr. Vu Duy Hung's family in Phuong Dao 2 village, Luong Thinh commune discovered a civet . Mr. Hung's family then notified the district Forest Protection Department to hand over the rare civet. Photo: Mytourcdn.

The scientific name of the clouded civet is Prionodon pardicolor. They are also known by other names such as star civet or leopard civet. This species is mainly distributed in Vietnam, India, Nepal, Myanmar, China, Thailand... Photo: Vncreatures.
