In recent times, farmers' associations at all levels in the province have effectively implemented many activities, thereby directly supporting cadres and farmer members to develop production, increase income and improve the quality of life.

Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Tran Binh Quan said: In the first quarter of 2024, cadres and members of the Farmers' Association in the whole province proactively implemented the tasks of the association and the farmers' movement. Propaganda, political and ideological education were promoted, implemented extensively and promptly; the organization and staff of the association were consolidated and improved to improve operational efficiency; the quality of members was improved. The core role of the association in building the peasant class was increasingly affirmed, contributing to raising political awareness, qualifications, and production and business skills for farmers. Consulting, service, support, vocational training, development of economic models, cooperatives, and cooperatives continued to be promoted, contributing to shifting the economic structure, rural labor, and improving farmers' lives.

The associations at all levels have propagated and mobilized cadres, members, farmers and people to implement the resolutions and directives of the Central, the province and the locality with 4,858 sessions, for 195,974 people; recruited 1,186 new members; opened 7 training courses on professional association work for 707 association officials at all levels; developed an additional 1.16 billion VND in association funds; mobilized, guided and established 1 new association branch and 10 professional association groups, 15 cooperative groups, 1 cooperative, 10 enterprises...

Support activities for farmers have been strengthened, by the end of the first quarter of 2024, the total outstanding loans of banks are estimated at nearly 17,000 billion VND, lending to 176,806 farmer members; effectively managing and using capital from the Thanh Hoa province farmer support fund of more than 38.63 billion VND, through 78 projects, with 609 households receiving loans; supplying more than 2,465 tons of delayed-payment fertilizer; organizing 134 training courses on science and technology transfer for 10,050 people; directing and guiding all levels of the association to build a model of agricultural production applying high technology and following high technology associated with building a value chain; coordinating the organization of 5 vocational training classes for 309 farmer members, helping 69 members, farmers, and workers have jobs after training; bringing 48 more agricultural products to the Postmart e-commerce platform...

In addition, the association at all levels also propagates to officials and farmer members to improve their knowledge of environmental protection and food hygiene and safety in many forms such as: Organizing communication conferences, training, building waste collection models... Providing technical guidance on using agricultural by-product choppers for farmers. Successfully implementing the project "Propaganda and mobilizing farmers to treat waste in Vietnam, contributing to the international community's efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions" sponsored by the BRACE Foundation, Hong Kong. Supporting funding, calcium worms and earthworms; fermented animal feed products; providing 11 agricultural by-product choppers and slicers for 11 communes and towns participating in the project worth 71.5 million VND.

Directing all levels of the association to mobilize and organize farmers to actively participate in the emulation movement "Joining hands to build new rural areas"; propagating and mobilizing cadres, members, and farmers to donate land, contribute working days, and money to build new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, build civilized urban areas, and friendly citizens. At the same time, mobilizing members to voluntarily donate 16,982m2 of land, participate in building 208 social welfare works, repair and renew 108.7km of rural roads and canals of all kinds. Mobilizing the establishment of 43 new self-management groups to protect the environment; building 36 new models of farmers participating in implementing food safety criteria and mobilizing 116,181 member households and farmers to commit to producing and trading safe agricultural products and food. Associations at all levels in the province have also mobilized mutual support in terms of money, food, goods, plants, and seeds worth 530.2 million VND and 3,177 working days; support 1 charity house; directly support 342 million VND to help farmers in difficult circumstances.

The activities to support farmers have been effective, motivating farmers in the province to compete in production and business. From there, helping farmers change their awareness and thinking about agricultural production from small-scale production to large-scale, highly efficient production, contributing positively to the socio-economic development of the locality.
