TPO - After more than 8 months of construction, how is the new Duong Bridge connecting Long Bien district and Gia Lam district (Hanoi) with a total investment of more than 1,800 billion VND now?
The new Duong Bridge project connecting Long Bien district and Gia Lam district (Hanoi) will start construction in July 2023 with a total investment of more than VND 1,800 billion. |
The construction site of the new Duong Bridge is located not far downstream of the old Duong Bridge. |
According to the plan, the existing Duong bridge will be dismantled and replaced with two new bridges at the same location. |
New bridges will be built with greater clearance to ensure navigation on the Duong River transport channel. |
In particular, the railway bridge and approach road project is 1 km long; the center of the bridge is about 16.5 m upstream from the old Duong bridge center, coinciding with the planned location for investment in the construction of Hanoi urban railway line No. 1. |
The road bridge and approach road project includes a 700 m long main route and an intersection at both ends of the bridge; the center of the bridge is about 100 m downstream from the old Duong bridge center. The construction of the new bridge is carried out in parallel with ensuring safe traffic for ships and boats. |
The road bridge over the Duong River is 382m long, built permanently with prestressed reinforced concrete combined with cables. The width of the bridge is 18.5m. |
After more than half a year of construction, the new Duong bridge has now built one road pier and three railway pier. |
The road bridge and approach road start at the old Duong bridge intersection on Ngo Gia Tu street, Long Bien district; end at the intersection between Ha Huy Tap street and Phan Dang Luu street, Gia Lam district. |
Up to now, Duong bridge has only been deployed in the area outside the river dike. Residential areas on both sides of the river that are subject to site clearance have not been relocated yet. |
In Gia Lam district, the area outside the new river dike is preparing the ground for the construction of bridge piers. |
