According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the day and night of March 29, many areas will have thunderstorms, especially in the North and North Central regions, where the weather will be cold with temperatures in mountainous areas below 13 degrees Celsius. The Central Highlands and the South will continue to have sunny days, with temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius in some places.
Regarding the cold air situation, early on the morning of March 29, Deputy Head of Weather Forecasting Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Le Thi Loan said that cold air has affected most of the Northeast region of the North. In the Gulf of Tonkin, there are strong Northeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 7.
It is forecasted that on March 29, this cold air mass will affect other places in the Northeast, North Central and most of the Northwest; then affect other places in the Northwest and some places in the Central Central. Inland, the Northeast wind will be strong at level 2-3, coastal areas at level 3-4.
The Northern and North Central regions are cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North is generally between 14-17 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 12 degrees Celsius; the North Central region is generally 16-19 degrees Celsius.
Hanoi area sometimes has rain, cold weather. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly 15-17 degrees Celsius.
At sea, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the Northeast wind is strong at level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 2-3m high; in the northern sea area of the North East Sea, the Northeast wind is strong at level 6, sometimes at level 7, gusting to level 8, rough seas, waves 3-5m high.
Due to the influence of cold air, on March 29, in the Northern and North Central regions, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
Cold weather can affect livestock, poultry, and the growth and development of crops. Thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, and damage houses, traffic works, and infrastructure.
Strong winds and large waves at sea are likely to affect boating and other activities.

Northwest:
- During the day, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in the Northwest region; at night, there will be scattered light rain, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms; in the Northwest region, it will be cold in the early morning and at night.
- Lowest temperature 16-19 degrees Celsius, some places below 17 degrees Celsius.
- Highest temperature 21-24 degrees Celsius, in the Northwest region 25-28 degrees Celsius, some places above 29 degrees Celsius.
Northeast:
- During the day there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms; at night there will be scattered light rain, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms; at night it will turn cold. Northeast wind level 2-3, coastal areas level 3-4.
- Lowest temperature 15-18 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 13 degrees Celsius.
- Highest temperature 20-23 degrees Celsius.
Hanoi capital:
- During the day there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms; at night there will be scattered light rain, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms, and it will be cold. Northeast wind level 2-3.
- Lowest temperature 16-18 degrees Celsius.
- Highest temperature 21-23 degrees Celsius.
Provinces and cities from Thanh Hoa to Hue:
- There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. The weather will turn cold in the North. North to Northwest wind level 2-3.
- Lowest temperature in the North 16-19 degrees Celsius, in the South 19-21 degrees Celsius.
- The highest temperature in the North is 21-24 degrees Celsius, in the South is 24-27 degrees Celsius.
Provinces and cities from Da Nang to Binh Thuan:
- In the North, there will be some rain in the morning, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and at night; in the South, it will be sunny during the day, scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night. East to Northeast wind level 2-3.
- Lowest temperature 22-25 degrees Celsius.
- The highest temperature in the North is 28-31 degrees Celsius, in the South is 31-34 degrees Celsius.
Central Highlands region:
- Sunny day, hot in some places, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night in some places. Light wind.
- Lowest temperature 20-23 degrees Celsius.
- Highest temperature 31-34 degrees Celsius, some places over 35 degrees Celsius.
Southern region:
- Sunny day, hot in some places, showers and thunderstorms in the evening and at night in some places. Light wind.
- Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees Celsius.
- Highest temperature 31-34 degrees Celsius, some places over 35 degrees Celsius.
