On the morning of September 8, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Phu Tho town held a meeting to quickly deploy plans to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 in Phu Tho town.
According to a quick report from the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control of Phu Tho town, the impact of storm No. 3 from September 7-8 caused damage with an initial total estimate of about 400 million VND. Some properties in the town were damaged such as: the roof of the office building of the People's Committee of Ha Thach commune was blown off, the signboard of Ha Thach Secondary School and Thanh Vinh Kindergarten was blown off; rice, corn and crops in Thanh Vinh ward and Thanh Minh commune were broken, 6 hectares of rice fields in Nha Ty of Hung Vuong ward were locally flooded. The storm and rain broke over 60 urban trees, 35m of the fence of Hung Vuong High School and households in Hung Vuong ward.
To ensure traffic safety, on the night of September 7, the town mobilized the "4 on-site" force to fix broken and fallen trees to ensure safety and facilitate traffic for people. The leaders of the town People's Committee requested units to quickly review essential infrastructure works damaged by the storm; especially roads, power systems, urban tree systems to proactively mobilize human and vehicle forces to coordinate with related units to fix the incident, at the same time mobilize the system of cranes, excavators and on-site forces of communes and wards to handle broken and fallen urban trees in the area to avoid causing traffic safety hazards for people and vehicles participating in traffic.
Continue to pump and drain water in the coming days to prevent further heavy rains due to the circulation of storm No. 3, quickly support people to restore production after floods, contributing to stabilizing people's lives.

* In Lam Thao district
On the morning of September 8, leaders of Lam Thao District People's Committee inspected the damage caused by storm No. 3 in many localities, assessed the damage and came up with a solution.
According to preliminary reports, storm No. 3 entered Lam Thao district with heavy rain, strong winds, accompanied by thunderstorms, causing some property damage: The headquarters of the People's Committee of Cao Xa commune and Phung Nguyen 2 Primary School, Phung Nguyen 2 Secondary School had some areas of corrugated iron roofs and heat-resistant ceilings blown off. The storm caused the rice crop to fall in communes and towns with an area of about 300 hectares; caused local flooding of rice, vegetables, bananas, corn and some shade trees, fruit trees of local residents. Fallen trees broke many electric poles in Ban Nguyen and Tien Kien communes, causing local power outages in some residential areas...
In the inspected areas, the leaders of Lan Thao District People's Committee requested the Steering Committees for Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue of the communes to prepare plans for natural disaster prevention; specialized departments and commune leaders to review and mobilize mass organizations to help families severely damaged by storm No. 3; direct schools to mobilize teachers, parents, students and forces to urgently clean up, sweep and overcome the consequences so as not to interrupt teaching and learning activities in educational institutions when the storm dissipates. Actively direct residential areas and people to stick to their fields, proactively develop plans to clear water flows to drain flooded rice fields, crops... to minimize damage caused by heavy rain.
In addition, direct the district's specialized departments to promptly synthesize the damage situation and report and request the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue to have a timely support plan .

* In Phu Ninh district
On the morning of September 8, leaders of Phu Ninh District People's Committee inspected the work of overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3 in the district.
District leaders inspect Binh Bo Pumping Station (Binh Phu Commune)
According to initial estimates by the District Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, storm No. 3 caused landslides along a 75m-long inter-provincial road; landslides along a 30m-long road at the Ngoi Dau irrigation project (Le My commune); collapsed and broken 5 electric poles, damaged 4 power lines at power projects and damaged a number of other projects.
Regarding agricultural production, prolonged heavy rains accompanied by strong gusts of wind from storm No. 3 affected and damaged about 63.6 hectares of rice, corn, other crops and industrial crops in 10 communes and towns in the district. Total damage is estimated at over 300 million VND.
After inspecting the Binh Bo pumping station, Gai Ha pumping station (Binh Phu commune), and Dau canal (Le My commune), the leaders of Phu Ninh district People's Committee requested communes and towns to continue to concentrate human resources, material resources, and on-site equipment to urgently overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.
Continue to monitor weather developments after storm No. 3, especially to avoid the impacts of heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, strong gusts of wind, flash floods, and landslides that may occur; note to promptly take measures to drain water and protect agricultural production.

* In Cam Khe district
Due to the impact of storm No. 3, in Cam Khe district, there was moderate and heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds, causing damage to rice, crops, bananas... that were being prepared for harvest by the people.
According to the statistics of the district's Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the whole district had 6 houses with their roofs blown off, nearly 200 hectares of rice and crops were affected and were about to be harvested. The water level of the Bua River rose rapidly, the section passing through Dong Luong commune affected the crops of the people; in Son Tinh and Huong Lung communes, the flood water came quickly, causing some households' houses to be submerged, the police and military forces promptly evacuated the households.
Immediately after the natural disaster, the leaders of Cam Khe district, together with the authorities of the affected communes and towns, went to the scene to inspect and count the damage caused by Storm No. 3. In particular, the communes and towns were required to proactively assign staff to be on duty, place warning signs to ensure the safety of life and property for the State and the people; strengthen the propaganda of prevention measures, ensure the safety of the people, avoid serious damage to property as well as danger to human life. The communes and towns were required to prepare adequate equipment, human resources, and materials; have a standing force to ensure rescue when incidents occur according to the "4 on-site" motto.

* In Thanh Son district
Due to the impact of storm No. 3, on the evening of September 7, Thanh Son district experienced heavy rain and strong winds, causing damage to facilities, infrastructure and agricultural production. The estimated damage (as of 11:00 a.m. on September 8) was over 1.5 billion VND.
On the morning of September 8, leaders of the Thanh Son District Party Committee and People's Committee inspected the damage caused by storm No. 3 in many areas, assessed the damage and came up with a solution.
According to the preliminary report, Thanh Son district has 154 households affected after the storm, of which 61 households were flooded and had to be relocated (30 households in Yen Luong, 25 households in Van Mieu, 05 households in Thanh Son town, 01 household in Son Hung); 81 households were relocated to ensure safety due to rising water levels; 8 households had their roofs blown off; 3 households were affected by landslides, fallen trees; a number of agencies and units were affected.
To proactively overcome the consequences caused by thunderstorms, the Thanh Son District Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Steering Committee has directed the Natural Disaster Prevention and Control Steering Committees of communes and towns to directly inspect and encourage households affected by damage, mobilize forces to support recovery according to the 4-on-the-spot motto, and continue to monitor weather developments, on duty 24/7 to minimize damage and quickly stabilize production and people's lives.

On the morning of September 8, leaders of Yen Lap District People's Committee inspected the damage caused by storm No. 3 in a number of communes in the district.
According to a quick report from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Yen Lap district, by 11:00 a.m. on September 8, storm No. 3 had blown off the roofs of 122 houses (no casualties); landslides occurred in Trung Son 9, Xuan An, Xuan Vien communes, Yen Lap town; 9 schools, cultural houses, and offices were damaged; many agricultural areas were being harvested; culverts, spillways, and some traffic routes in the communes and towns were deeply flooded, causing traffic jams. The total estimated damage was 8.5 billion VND.
