Bu Dang: 7 more cases positive for whooping cough

Staff from Bu Dang District Medical Center visited schools in Binh Minh commune to conduct epidemiological investigations and screening.

Specifically, according to the response form on March 25 from the Pasteur Institute of Ho Chi Minh City to the Center for Disease Control of Binh Phuoc province, there were 7 cases of children in Binh Minh commune, Bu Dang district who tested positive for whooping cough, including: D.TQN born in 2015; DTH born in 2022; DTNC born in 2025; D.TTT born in 2018; D.HT born in 2020; D.D born in 2018; D.TTD born in 2012.

The Binh Minh commune community tracing team and the rapid response team of the Bu Dang district medical center are on duty at the village cultural house to collect samples for testing.

After receiving the results, Bu Dang District Medical Center conducted an epidemiological investigation, brought the above-mentioned pediatric cases to the medical center for treatment and isolation according to regulations; at the same time, coordinated with Binh Minh Commune authorities to monitor households with young children in the surrounding area, disinfected and cleaned the environment around the pediatric patient's area and related suspected areas. At the same time, propagated and mobilized households to take their children for vaccination; ensured the environment was airy, clean, had enough light and maintained personal hygiene, and prevented the risk of disease transmission.
