On the afternoon of July 3, the Ministry of Health held a ceremony to announce the Prime Minister's decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc, Director of Cho Ray Hospital, National Assembly delegate, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Health.
At the ceremony, authorized by the Prime Minister, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan presented the appointment decision to the new Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Tri Thuc.
On behalf of the leaders of the Ministry of Health and all cadres, civil servants and public employees of the health sector, Minister Dao Hong Lan congratulated Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc on being recommended by the Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Health, and key officials of the Ministry of Health, and being trusted and appointed by the Secretariat and the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Health.
Minister Dao Hong Lan also said that on July 2, the Party Central Committee issued Document No. 1345/QD-TW appointing Comrade Nguyen Tri Thuc to join the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health. According to Minister Dao Hong Lan, the health sector is very broad with a large amount of work. After the Covid-19 pandemic, in addition to professional tasks, there are many post-Covid-19 tasks to be resolved, especially the building of a policy system and long-term development orientation of the sector.
Meanwhile, the new Deputy Minister Nguyen Tri Thuc has a long history of growing up and working in the medical field. During nearly 25 years of working and dedicating himself, Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc has made many contributions to the protection, care and improvement of people's health. Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc is also a National Assembly delegate of the Ho Chi Minh City National Assembly Delegation, and has participated in and contributed much to the process of building general legal policies of the National Assembly.
Minister Dao Hong Lan hopes that in his new position, Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc will continue to promote his experience, solidarity, and sharing with the Party Executive Committee and the leaders of the Ministry of Health in the process of leading, directing, operating, and implementing the tasks of the Ministry of Health in the coming time to achieve more results. Regarding Cho Ray Hospital, the Minister of Health requested that during the time of completing the hospital's leadership, the hospital's collective continue to unite, promote traditions, and perform well the assigned tasks of protecting, caring for, and improving the health of people in the Southern region.
In his acceptance speech, the new Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Tri Thuc respectfully thanked the Secretariat, the Government, the Prime Minister and relevant ministries and agencies for their trust and confidence in assigning him this great responsibility.
“Accepting a new task with honor comes the obligation and responsibility to continue to continuously learn, practice, improve knowledge, join hands, unite, and unite with the Party Executive Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Health, and leaders, cadres, and employees of the entire health sector to contribute to fulfilling the tasks assigned to the health sector by the Party, the State, and the people,” said Mr. Nguyen Tri Thuc.
On June 29, 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 579/QD-TTg appointing Dr. Nguyen Tri Thuc, Director of Cho Ray Hospital, to the position of Deputy Minister of Health. The term of appointment is 5 years. Decision No. 579/QD-TTg takes effect from the date of signing.
