The Ministry of Information and Communications has just announced the 2024 civil servant recruitment plan according to Decree No. 140/2017/ND-CP of the Government on policies to attract and create a source of staff from excellent university graduates and young scientists.

Specifically, in this recruitment round, units within the Ministry of Information and Communications have a total of 15 targets:

The Legal Department has 2 positions for legal specialists.

The Department of International Cooperation has two indicators specializing in international cooperation.

The Department of Science and Technology has 2 targets for specialists in science, technology and innovation management (including science, technology and innovation activities and tasks) and environmental specialists.

The Department of Digital Economy and Digital Society has 1 quota for a specialist in information technology management (including: IT industry, IT application, digital transformation).

The Department of Personnel Organization has 3 positions: human resource management specialist and general specialist.

The Department of Information Technology and Communications Industry has 5 targets for specialists in information technology management (including: IT industry, IT application, digital transformation).

According to the announcement, eligible candidates are Vietnamese citizens aged 18 and over, with a clear background, diplomas and certificates appropriate to the recruitment position, good political and moral qualities, and good health to perform the duties.

In particular, candidates must have excellent academic and training results during their university years. For those with a master's or doctoral degree (under 35 years old), the requirement is to graduate from a university with a good degree or higher and the postgraduate major must be the same as the undergraduate major.

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria: third prize or higher in provincial-level excellent student competitions, third prize or higher in national excellent student competitions, or certificates of merit in international competitions during high school.

In addition, those who won third prize or higher in national or international science and technology competitions during high school or university, or those who won third prize or higher in Olympic competitions in one of the following subjects: mathematics, physics, chemistry, mechanics, informatics or other majors during university study, are also eligible.

The Ministry of Information and Communications also clarified cases that are not allowed to register for the exam, including people who do not reside in Vietnam, people who have lost or have limited civil capacity, people who are being prosecuted for criminal liability or are serving a criminal sentence without having their criminal record cleared.

The recruitment process is carried out through 2 rounds of selection. Round 1 is to consider the candidate's academic and research results according to the prescribed standards. Qualified candidates will be invited to attend an interview round to test their knowledge and skills in performing public duties as required by the job position. The expected interview time is 30 minutes, of which the candidate has a maximum of 15 minutes to prepare.

Regarding priority benefits, candidates who are heroes of the armed forces, heroes of labor, war invalids and other policy beneficiaries will have points added to the interview results, from 2.5 to 7.5 points depending on the priority level.

Application documents include application form, copies of diplomas, transcripts of academic results, certificates as required, certificates of training results, documents proving awards and certificates of priority (if any).

The application deadline is from October 16, 2024 to November 16, 2024. Candidates can submit their applications directly to the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Information and Communications, 18 Nguyen Du, Hanoi or send them by post.

After the recruitment results are available, the successful candidate must complete the application within 5 days, including a certified CV, a copy of the birth certificate, diplomas, certificates and a health certificate. If the application is not completed or illegal diplomas or certificates are found to be used, the recruitment result will be canceled according to the law.
