Blackpink's first concert took place on the evening of July 29 at My Dinh National Stadium, attracting about 36,000 spectators according to the Hanoi People's Committee. Thousands of fans had arrived at the stadium before the show started at 7:30 p.m. Around 6 p.m., it started to rain heavily, making check-in difficult. However, the rain stopped shortly after, making the weather cool and pleasant, making it easier to enjoy the show.
At 7:50 p.m., Blackpink appeared amid the endless cheers of thousands of spectators, performing the opening song "How You Like That". For more than two hours, Blackpink performed more than 20 famous songs, associated with the group's name such as: Whistle, Pretty Savage, Lovesick Girl, Don't Know What to Do, Kill This Love, Playing with Fire, Boombayah, DDU-DU DDU-DU... The stage, sound, and lighting in the Blackpink show were worthy of an international music night.
The four members of Blackpink also had solo performances that delighted fans. Starting with the eldest member Jisoo with the song "Flower". Thousands of spectators below joined in with the female singer during the chorus and performed the flower dance with her.
Next, Jennie performed two songs, "You and I" and "Solo". Compared to many other concerts, Jennie was commented by many audiences to sing and dance more enthusiastically and energetically.
Rosé sang "Gone" and "On the Ground". Lisa was the female singer who ended her solo performance with the song "Money".
In front of the enthusiasm of the fans, the members of the group Blackpink communicated in Vietnamese with the phrases: "Hello Vietnam...", "I love you", "Can you shout out loud"...
In particular, the moment when the four members Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo and Rosé performed the dance "See Tinh" together, a famous song by female singer Hoang Thuy Linh, made the audience in the stadium burst into tears.
"See Tinh" is one of the few songs and dances by Vietnamese artists that have international influence. Before that, the song received great attention in Korea for a long time, even entering digital music sites.
The performances of the four Blackpink girls received enthusiastic responses from fans. The stands were lit up in pink by lightsticks. Thousands of spectators sang along with their idols and danced to the vibrant performances.
At 9:40 p.m., the show ended, the four members continuously said they loved and thanked the audience. Thousands of people still sat quietly in the stands, watching the fireworks that the organizers shot as a greeting. Many fans took the opportunity to check-in and take pictures with friends.
Hanoi is Blackpink’s final stop in Asia as part of their Born Pink global tour. The tour, which kicked off late last year, has so far grossed about $163.8 million, with more than 900,000 tickets sold. On average, the band earns more than $4 million per show with about 22,600 spectators.
