American billionaire Bill Gates and his girlfriend play tennis near a 5-star resort on Son Tra peninsula on the 4th day of their trip to Da Nang.

At around 10:45 a.m. on March 7, Bill Gates, 69, and his girlfriend went to the tennis court on Son Tra Peninsula, Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District. This tennis court is managed by the resort where he is staying, but is located outside the premises, in a public area and separated from the resort by a residential road.

He and his girlfriend split up to play with two young Vietnamese men. They played on the large tennis court for about 45 minutes, then continued playing on the smaller adjacent court.

Bill Gates wore a dark purple T-shirt, white pants, shoes, and a black cap. He moved quickly, was precise in his touches and finishing, and smiled when his team won.

Bill Gates is a fan of tennis and handball. He said on YouTube in 2021 that he has been playing the sport for more than 50 years. Last year, he also posted a video explaining the rules of handball. He also occasionally participates in horseback riding, rugby, and table tennis.

On the evening of March 6, Bill Gates and his girlfriend visited and enjoyed tea with a Vietnamese tea artisan on Ban Co peak, 700m above sea level, on Son Tra peninsula.

Bill Gates and his girlfriend arrived in Da Nang on a private plane on the morning of March 4. In 2006, he visited Vietnam for a day, meeting with representatives of the technology industry. At that time, he spent a day visiting Tu Son district, Bac Ninh, trying betel and listening to Quan Ho folk songs.
