(QBĐT) - On April 18, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) - Quang Binh Branch organized a gift giving ceremony for ethnic minorities in Ploang village, Truong Son commune, (Quang Ninh).
The People's Credit Fund - Quang Binh Branch had a working session with the authorities of Truong Son commune and Ploang village to grasp the socio-economic development situation and the results of implementing credit programs in Ploang village.
Ploang village currently has 36 households with 152 people. 100% of the households are Bru-Van Kieu ethnic people. The lives of the people here still face many difficulties and shortages. Ploang village currently has outstanding loans from 4 policy credit programs, including: Preferential loans for poor households; loans for ethnic minority households with special difficulties; loans for ethnic minority and mountainous areas; loans to support job creation, maintain and expand employment. Policy credit capital has contributed to reducing the poverty rate of the village in recent times.
Based on understanding the people's loan needs, in the coming time, the People's Credit Fund - Quang Binh Branch will have a plan to implement preferential loan programs to help people develop the economy and gradually escape poverty.
On this occasion, the People's Credit Fund - Quang Binh Branch donated volleyball equipment, clean water tanks, and generators to ethnic people in Ploang village. The total donation cost was nearly 37 million VND.
