Dak Nong starts construction of Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway on April 29, 2025

Standing Vice Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Le Trong Yen has just signed a report to the Ministry of Construction on the registration of works and projects that are eligible to organize groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Accordingly, Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee registered to start construction of Component Project 2, part of Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project on April 29, 2025.

The starting point of Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway is designed to intersect with Km1923+75 of Ho Chi Minh road, through Kien Thanh commune, Dak R'lap district.

Component 2 project is to invest in the construction of a service road and overpass across Dak Nong province. Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee is the competent authority implementing the project, with a total preliminary investment of 338 billion VND from the local budget.

Previously, in June 2024, the National Assembly approved the investment policy for the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project. This is a component section of the Western North - South Expressway and an important national project.

The project is over 124km long, of which about 101km passes through Binh Phuoc and about 23km through Dak Nong province. This project is divided into five component projects.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Dak Nong Province Ngo Thanh Danh (wearing a hat) inspected the area where the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway is expected to start construction, the section passing through Dak Ru commune, Dak R'lap district.

In which, Component Project 1 is the investment in the construction of the expressway, invested by the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province. The People's Committees of Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc provinces are each in charge of two component projects on site clearance and construction of the service road, the section passing through their province.
