6 fishermen from Binh Dinh rescued in time after being sunk by a cargo ship

These fishermen were discovered and rescued by a fishing boat operating at sea, and brought to Ben Dam port, Con Dao district (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) on the afternoon of June 7. After receiving them, Con Dao Border Guard Station sent medical staff to conduct initial medical examinations and provide accommodation for the fishermen.

Initial information, on June 5, fishing boat number BD 30093 TS, captained by Mr. Dang Van Teo (46 years old, residing in Phu Cat, Binh Dinh) and 5 fishermen departed from Ben Da Port, Vung Tau City.

At around 2:00 a.m. on June 7, while fishing in the sea about 40 nautical miles east of Con Dao, this ship was sunk by a cargo ship of unknown registration.

Captain Dang Van Teo turned on the identification device on the fishing boat and discovered that the colliding vehicle had the letters BAR - LLI or PAR - LLI.

At around 7am the same day, Captain Teo was rescued by a fishing boat with the registration number of Tien Giang province. An hour later, the remaining 5 fishermen were rescued by fishing boat with the registration number BD 31159 TS.

All 6 victims were transferred to fishing boat BD 10922 TS captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Dong (38 years old, residing in Binh Dinh province), brought ashore to hand over to Con Dao Border Guard Station.

Con Dao Border Guard Station is continuing to verify and clarify the incident.

Fishing boat sinks, 8 fishermen managed to swim to shore, one missing . A fishing boat of fishermen in Phu Quy district (Binh Thuan) encountered big waves and sank while on its way to fish. 8 people managed to leave the boat and swim to shore safely, but one person is missing.
