Electric shock while repairing pump, 3 father and sons died

On May 14, information from the People's Committee of Ia Pa district, Gia Lai said that an electric shock incident had just occurred in the district, killing 3 victims.

According to initial information, at around 8:00 a.m. the same day, Mr. KA (born in 1970, residing in Voong Boong village, Chu Rang commune, Ia Pa district), was sitting repairing a water pump at a well in his yard when he was suddenly electrocuted and fell into the well.

Seeing his father being electrocuted, Mr. NG (born in 1997, Mr. KA's son-in-law) standing nearby jumped into the well to save his father and was also electrocuted. At this time, Mr. R.Th. (born in 1995, Mr. KA's son) continued to go down the well to save him and was also electrocuted.

Hearing the cry for help, villagers came to the rescue and were also electrocuted but luckily were not injured.

All three victims were then taken out of the well by relatives and taken to Ia Pa District Medical Center for emergency treatment but died before arriving at the hospital.
