Since the Artificial Kidney Department was established in 2000, after more than 25 years of operation and development, the center has filtered blood for hundreds of thousands of patients. In 2023, the center filtered blood for 24,400 patients; in 2024, it filtered 33,835 times, including 7 critical cases saved by CRRT.
In the first quarter of 2025, the center performed blood filtration for 12,091 patients, an increase of 58% compared to the same period in 2024. The center is a close combination between the Artificial Kidney Department and the Emergency Resuscitation Department in applying online HDF kidney filtration methods, continuous CRRT blood filtration, plasma exchange blood filtration, and adsorption blood filtration in the treatment of patients with life-threatening infections, poisoning, and multiple organ failure.
