If going to the supermarket is a luxury for poor cancer patients, then at a corner of Military Hospital 175 on the afternoon of November 14, many patients were bustling about shopping for free at the booths.
Present at the "Supermarket of Charity" program quite early, Mr. NVT (54 years old, Department of Radiation Therapy, Military Hospital 175) eagerly participated in the shopping experience at the booths. He said that it had been a long time since he had tasted the cool taste of ice cream or had been able to freely choose necessities and personal items like today.

Similarly, Ms. D.TL (63 years old, living in Nghe An) shared that since coming here to take care of her sick family member, she only goes to the grocery store to buy things, partly because she is the only one taking care of her sick family member so she cannot go far, and partly because she does not have much money to go to the supermarket.
"When I heard about the program to give away a shopping voucher of one million VND, I was very happy. This is not only material support but also spiritual joy for patients and their families during the last days of the year. I really hope that more and more meaningful programs will be replicated to give to patients," said Ms. L.
During the program, more than 200 cancer patients at the Institute of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine received vouchers worth 1 million VND to choose to buy necessities, essential foods and personal items at the booths in the program. In addition, 40 seriously ill patients of the institute also received cash gifts worth 1 million VND.

Hopefully, these meaningful and practical activities will support and encourage the spirit of cancer patients, seriously ill patients in difficult circumstances, to be more confident in the journey of fighting the disease and winning.

Mr. NV.T (member of the Saigon Dust volunteer haircut group) said that the group often participates in free haircuts at many hospitals. However, this is the first time the group has come to Military Hospital 175. Here, the group will cut hair for free for everyone, regardless of whether they are patients or family members, whoever wants to cut their hair will get that style. Hopefully, the group's contribution will bring sharing to cancer patients.
