This afternoon, December 10, the Quang Tri Provincial Military Command coordinated with the Provincial Literature and Arts Association to organize the closing ceremony of the Literature and Arts Creation Camp with the theme "Soldiers with the cause of protecting the Fatherland and homeland of Quang Tri" in 2024. Speaking to congratulate the results of the Literature and Art Composition Camp with the theme "Soldiers with the cause of protecting the Fatherland and Quang Tri homeland" in 2024, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Dang Quang affirmed that the armed forces of the whole country in general, Quang Tri in particular, continue the heroic tradition of their fathers and brothers, making many outstanding achievements, contributing worthily to the cause of national liberation struggle, building Quang Tri homeland to become increasingly prosperous and happy.

In peacetime, the armed forces coordinate to ensure political security, social order and safety, build a close relationship between the military and the people, build a strong people's position and defense zones, as well as help the people overcome natural disasters, and serve the people.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council praised the creative camp for its excellent completion of its tasks. Towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 (1944-2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22 (1989-2024), with a close and meaningful theme, the works are the voices of professional and non-professional artists in all participating fields.

Artists have devoted their efforts to portraying the image of heroic soldiers fighting to protect the Fatherland as well as in peacetime, adding confidence and strength to the armed forces to continue promoting heroic traditions to build the homeland and country in the new era.

The creative camp has ended, but the work of creating literature and art has not stopped. We request that the organizing committee continue to have appropriate forms to extend the creative activities, focusing on praising the feats of the armed forces in building and defending the Fatherland.

The literary and artistic creation camp “Soldiers with the cause of protecting the Fatherland and Quang Tri homeland” was deployed from August 2024 to December 2024. The Organizing Committee received 221 works from 75 participating authors.

The participants are mainly members of the literature, fine arts, photography and music industry. There are 7 authors who are officers, soldiers and former officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command; 8 authors are leaders of the province, localities, provincial agencies and teachers.

As a result, the organizing committee awarded 28 prizes to the authors and works, including: 4 A prizes, 6 B prizes, 8 C prizes and 10 Encouragement prizes.

At the same time, the work appraisal and book compilation committee selected and edited 141 works including: 9 short stories; 18 memoirs; 67 poems; 11 fine art works; 24 art photos, documents and 5 musical works to publish the 716-page literary and artistic book "Vang mai khuc quan hanh" and selected 11 paintings and 24 photos to exhibit at the meeting to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22 (1944-2024) and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day on December 22 (1989-2024); selected 5 songs to widely release to serve the soldiers and the people.
