On January 7, the Investigation Police Agency prosecuted and temporarily detained Mr. Dang Ngoc Cam and Nguyen Quoc Khanh (both members of the Board of Members of Vietnam Tea Corporation) to investigate the case of Violating regulations on management and use of State assets causing waste and loss, occurring at Vietnam Tea Corporation.
Former General Director in charge of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Tea Corporation Nguyen Thien Toan has also been prosecuted and temporarily detained.
Regarding the two defendants Cam and Khanh, these two men signed the Resolutions of the Board of Directors agreeing to contribute capital and divest capital for the right to use the land at 225 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia (in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) without going through a public auction as prescribed, causing damage to State assets.
After the Supreme People's Procuracy approved, the Ministry of Public Security executed search warrants against the two suspects.
The Ministry of Public Security is continuing to expand the investigation of the case, consolidate evidence to clarify the criminal acts of the related subjects, verify assets to seize and completely recover assets for the State.
