Food company employee arrested for embezzling 108 million VND

On May 18, Son Tra District Police (Da Nang City) issued decisions to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused and execute the temporary detention order against Nguyen Danh Cao (36 years old, residing in Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District) for embezzlement of property.

Nguyen Danh Cao was served with decisions by Son Tra District Police.

According to the investigation, from May 2022, Cao worked as a sales staff for Top Viet Food Company Limited, whose director is Mr. Phan Quoc Cuong. When customers wanted to order food, Cao went to Top Viet Company's application to place an order, then the company sent employees to deliver the goods to the customers. Cao also coordinated the delivery when orders arose in large quantities, orders that needed to be delivered urgently.

Nguyen Danh Cao was detained for embezzlement of company assets.

Taking advantage of his assigned work, Cao appropriated more than 108 million VND (the amount of money from purchasing goods) from Top Viet Food Company Limited.

Discovering Cao’s trick, a representative of Top Viet Food Company Limited reported it to the police. There, Cao admitted his crime, stating that he had embezzled 108 million VND for personal use and was unable to pay it back.
