On October 31, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Province Police announced that it had just issued a decision to prosecute and a temporary detention order against Hoang Thi Kim Chau (born in 1973, residing in Thach Thang Ward, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City; former General Director of Bach Dat An Joint Stock Company) for the act of embezzlement of property.

According to the case file, through receiving and handling the crime denunciation, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Nam Provincial Police conducted an investigation and determined that Ms. Hoang Thi Kim Chau had signs of committing the crime of embezzlement of property.
On October 25, 2024, the authorities executed an emergency detention order and an emergency arrest warrant for Hoang Thi Kim Chau.
The investigation results determined that from 2017 to 2023, during the implementation of real estate projects in Quang Nam province, Bach Dat An Joint Stock Company collected deposits from customers to buy land.
The company used part of the proceeds to invest in the project, and Hoang Thi Kim Chau directed her employees to give her the remaining money to use for personal purposes.
