Today (January 2), a source of VietNamNet reporter said that the Criminal Police Department of Binh Duong Province Police has just coordinated with other units to arrest Le Van Hien (36 years old, from An Giang, temporarily residing in Ben Cat City, Binh Duong Province). The subject has been transferred to Binh Duong to serve the investigation.
Hien was the one who beat Mr. NTB (38 years old) after a traffic collision on My Phuoc - Tan Van road (Thoi Hoa ward, Ben Cat city), causing the victim to suffer a traumatic brain injury with a serious prognosis.
After beating the victim to death, Hien fled to An Giang. Through investigation, the authorities arrested this subject to investigate and clarify the acts of disturbing public order and intentionally causing injury.
At the authorities, Hien confessed to beating Mr. B. due to a conflict when they had a motorbike collision on the road.
Previously, on the evening of December 30, 2024, Mr. B. was driving his motorbike to the intersection of My Phuoc - Tan Van road and NE8 road (Thoi Hoa ward, Ben Cat city, Binh Duong province) when he collided with a motorbike driven by Hien.
After the collision, the two sides got into a fight in the middle of the intersection. Due to being at a disadvantage, Mr. B. was knocked down to the street by Hien, who punched him repeatedly. Not stopping there, this subject also used his helmet to hit Mr. B. hard on the head, stomped on his face with his feet, causing the victim to become motionless, and then left the scene.
Discovering the incident, some passersby helped take the victim to the Binh Duong General Hospital for emergency treatment, then transferred to Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC).
According to Cho Ray Hospital, patient NTB is in a deep coma and on a ventilator. Doctors diagnosed that the patient has bilateral frontal brain contusions, low blood pressure, and a poor prognosis.
