With this victory, Barca has 64 points and surpassed Girona to take second place in La Liga, 8 points behind Real Madrid in first place. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid fell to 5th with 55 points and 1 point behind Athletic Bilbao in the top 4.

In the highlight match of round 29 of Serie A, Inter Milan was held to a 1-1 draw by Napoli. This result caused the Nerazzurri to end their 10-match winning streak in the domestic league and had an unhappy week after being eliminated from the European Cup 1 by Atletico Madrid.
Matteo Darmian opened the scoring for Inter Milan in the 43rd minute, after entering the penalty area to receive a pass from Alessandro Bastoni and finishing accurately. Napoli equalized 1-1 thanks to Juan Jesus' close-range header from a corner kick in the 81st minute.
After this draw, Inter Milan still leads Serie A with 76 points and is 14 points ahead of second-placed AC Milan. Meanwhile, Napoli is ranked 7th on the rankings with 45 points.
