Van Nghe Newspaper held a meeting to celebrate the 75th anniversary of its first issue.

The meeting aims to pay tribute to writers and journalists who have worked at the Liberation Literature and Arts Newspaper through the years, and is also an opportunity for writers and journalists to meet and discuss work related to journalism, research and literary and artistic creation.

Speaking at the meeting, Editor-in-Chief of Van Nghe Newspaper Khuat Quang Thuy shared that Van Nghe Newspaper is the mouthpiece of the Vietnam Writers Association, with a history of 75 years of establishment and development. Throughout that history, Van Nghe Newspaper has not only been a forum to support creativity of the Vietnam Writers Association but also a forum to attract public opinion at home and abroad on all issues of social life.

To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the first issue of Van Nghe Newspaper, the Editorial Board of Van Nghe Newspaper has developed an action program for the Anniversary Year, starting from September 2022 to the end of 2023. The highlight activity is the short story writing contest starting from September 2022 and ending in 2024. To date, hundreds of authors have participated with more than 400 entries.

On this occasion, Van Nghe Newspaper and Cuu Long University signed a cooperation agreement on cultural and artistic exchanges in the coming time. At the same time, the two sides will also have a plan to bring Van Nghe Newspaper into student life to contribute to spreading culture and arts among today's youth.
