Ensuring maximum benefits for candidates taking the 2024 high school graduation exam

This morning, June 19, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam, Head of the Steering Committee for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam in Quang Tri province, together with leaders of the Department of Education and Training, inspected the preparations for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam at 2 testing sites in Trieu Phong district, including: Trieu Phong High School and Chu Van An High School.

At the examination sites, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam and members of the delegation inspected the preparation of facilities, the arrangement of examination rooms; places to store exam questions and papers; medical rooms;... and listened to reports from schools on preparations for the 2024 high school graduation exam.

Accordingly, for the 2024 High School Graduation Exam, at the Trieu Phong High School exam site, there are 14 exam rooms with 336 candidates participating in the exam; at the Chu Van An High School exam site, there are 18 exam rooms with 432 candidates participating in the exam. In addition to the exam rooms, the schools have arranged backup exam rooms, waiting rooms, exam storage rooms, exam papers, and exam site duty rooms.

Currently, all candidates registered for the exam at the two exam sites have qualified and correct documents. Before the 2024 high school graduation exam, schools organized mock exams to assess students' qualifications and abilities in order to have appropriate knowledge training plans.

In order for the 2024 high school graduation exam to take place safely, seriously and effectively, schools have organized dissemination and guidance for officials, teachers, employees, students and parents on the exam regulations. Review and fully prepare facilities and equipment for the exam; develop a coordination plan to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention, health care, electricity; ensure safety for students and teachers; equip security camera systems in rooms for exam questions and papers...

The 2024 high school graduation exam has 8,400 candidates registered in the province. Accordingly, there are 19 inter-school exam sites and 7 independent exam sites. The Department of Education and Training mobilized 1,400 staff and teachers to invigilate the exam, 220 service staff, and 200 security guards. In addition, 200 more teachers were arranged for backup and reinforcement.

Through the actual inspection of the examination sites, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nam highly appreciated the proactive and serious spirit of the schools in preparing for the exam. At the same time, he requested the graduation examination councils at the schools and related units to strengthen inspection and review of the material conditions in the examination rooms, the security and safety situation around the examination area.

Prepare contingency plans to promptly handle any problems that may arise during the exam. Create all favorable conditions for staff and teachers to perform their invigilation duties well and for candidates to complete their exams well.

At the same time, continue to do a good job of communicating about the exam, paying attention to supporting and helping candidates participating in the exam, especially independent candidates, candidates with difficult circumstances, candidates in remote areas... no candidate has to drop out of the exam due to economic difficulties or travel difficulties when taking the exam; ensuring maximum benefits for candidates taking the exam.

The 2024 high school graduation exam will take place from June 26 to 29, 2024. There is not much time left, so the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the examination sites to review all remaining work to promptly adjust and supplement necessary elements so that the exam is organized safely, seriously, fairly and in accordance with regulations.
