The press contributes to Party building work

98 years ago, on June 21, 1925, the first revolutionary newspaper named Thanh Nien, founded by leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, officially published its first issue, marking the birth of the Vietnamese revolutionary press. Since then, throughout the process of building and developing, our Party has always highly appreciated the role and position of the press in the work of Party building. Thanks to the active participation of this special field, the work of Party building and rectification has had strong changes and achieved many important results.

Bringing resolutions to the people

Ms. Van Thi Minh Phuong - Secretary of the Party Cell of Dai Thien 2 Village (Ham Hiep Commune, Ham Thuan Bac) said that she regularly follows information, especially information related to the field of Party building on Binh Thuan Newspaper and Binh Thuan Radio and Television. With many articles with rich content and diverse forms of expression, these two press agencies regularly encourage new factors, typical advanced models in the work of Party building and rectification; actively fight against corruption, waste, negativity; refute wrong information, viewpoints, and distorted arguments of hostile forces... "In particular, the Party's Directives and Resolutions are fully reported by newspapers and radio stations. I follow them so that in each Party cell meeting, they are deployed to Party members. From there, each Party member will be a propagandist to the people to implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and State in the most practical and effective way", Ms. Phuong shared.

Along with the revolutionary press system nationwide, press agencies in Binh Thuan province have recently contributed to raising awareness of Party committees at all levels, cadres, party members and people of all walks of life about the purpose, meaning and importance of Party building and rectification work in the locality. Accordingly, Binh Thuan Newspaper, Binh Thuan Radio and Television have devoted a lot of time to developing programs, columns and topics on Party building and rectification work. Most notably in recent times, these two units have promptly, comprehensively and accurately informed the key political tasks of the province such as the deployment and implementation of resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, especially the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, the 13th Resolution of the Party Congress and Resolution of the Central Committee 4 (term XII) on Party building and rectification, Directive No. 05, Conclusion 01 of the Politburo on "Promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"... The active participation of the press sector has contributed to the strong transformation of the province's Party building and rectification work, achieving many important results. The Party Committee is increasingly clean and strong. The trust of cadres, party members and people in the Party is increasing.

However, to have good works on Party building work that meet the needs of readers is not easy. Many journalists in charge of Party building share that, in order to be able to write about the Party effectively, it is necessary to have a correct understanding of the Party's policies and Party building work; to proactively and actively follow the reality to promptly reflect the results of Party building and rectification work in localities and units. At the same time, fight and criticize shortcomings and violations, and problems that are still limited and exist in the implementation process. And facing the increasingly high demands of readers, to have good and attractive works on Party building, in addition to political mettle, professional ethics, and experience, journalists themselves must also research and study the Party's directives and resolutions to further improve their knowledge.

The press contributes to protecting the Party's ideological foundation.

Also in the current period, the press in Binh Thuan province is facing enormous challenges of the times. In addition to carrying out the mission of propagating the Party and State's guidelines and policies, spreading the values of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought, the press in the province also plays the role of fighting against erroneous and hostile arguments against the Party and the State. Therefore, immediately after Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation was issued, the press agencies of the province simultaneously propagated Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo. Binh Thuan Newspaper in particular has proactively identified the current situation and considered this a particularly difficult task, but it must take the responsibility of taking the lead. From the propaganda orientation stage in the weekly and monthly propaganda outline, to the assignment in the Editorial Board, assigning reporters and groups of reporters to write articles on Party building and political system building, proactively opening many special pages and columns such as: "Party building"; "Example of Party members"; "Party in life"; "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style"... Thereby praising and spreading many exemplary Party members and typical grassroots Party organizations in labor, production, study, work, production and business and following Uncle Ho.

With the motto "using beauty to eliminate ugliness, using positivity to push back negativity", Binh Thuan Newspaper has actively propagated and spread positive information, providing readers with official information to guide public opinion. Especially before, during and after important political events of the country and locality such as: 13th National Party Congress, 14th Provincial Party Congress; election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Council deputies for the 2021-2026 term... Or major national anniversaries such as: Anniversary of the Party's founding, National Day September 2, President Ho Chi Minh's birthday...

It can be affirmed that revolutionary press is always a sharp ideological weapon of the Party and State, an important means of information and propaganda to help strengthen people's trust in the Party, contributing to building an increasingly clean and strong Party. Proud of revolutionary press, journalists in the province continue to promote the spirit of vanguard, making more worthy contributions on the Party's ideological front.
