The world culinary website Taste Atlas recently released a list of the 100 best sandwiches in the world in 2024. Notably, Vietnamese banh mi topped the list this year.

Following the list of 100 best sandwiches in the world in September 2023, the world culinary website Taste Atlas recently posted an article on the top 100 best sandwiches in the world, in which Vietnamese sandwiches ranked first in the rankings.
"Banh mi is a Vietnamese sandwich with a crust similar to a French baguette. The filling inside creates its own flavor, including meat, pate, herbs, pickled vegetables and julienned green chili," wrote culinary site TasteAtlas.
The culinary website suggests that tourists can buy meat sandwiches or roast pork sandwiches anywhere from street vendors to large bakeries in tourist cities in Vietnam.

The Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich is a cold cut sandwich that originated in Montreal, Canada. It is similar to the corned beef sandwich and the pastrami sandwich, but the meat used has its own distinct preparation and flavor.
Invented in Romania, pastrami is a cured beef product made by selecting and smoking fatty, succulent briskets, then coating them with a rich coating of spices and peppers.
Reuben Schwartz, a Romanian immigrant, began making smoked meat in Montreal in 1928, a product similar to the original pastrami that originated in Romania.
